The problem with One Man Show is that,the writers Rafi-Mecartin and director Shafi does not know whether to make a serious or a comedy film. In the process they fall between two stools as they are neither able to please the masses nor the critics.

The story is a bit confusing. Jayakrishnan(Jayaram), who is on parole is selected to participate in the ''Kodipathi'' show hosted by film star Mukesh. He is desperate to get the price money of Rs one crore, so that he can salvage his life. The story unfolds as a flashback narrated by Jayakrishnan to the quiz master.

It all started for Jayakrishnan a briefless lawyer, when he fell in love with his ‘murapennu’ Radhika(Samyuktha) who along with her father Menon(Narendra Prasad) are well known advocates. Traditionally their family has churned out busy and clever advocates, so the public refers to their house as ‘Kodathi Veedu’. On the other hand Menon’s nephew Jayakrishnan is a born loser and has never won a case. So Jayakrishnan along with his friend Ponnappan(Kalabhavan Mani) decides to take up the case of Hari Narayanan, (Lal) which they would win. With the help of Dr Razia (Manya) they try to prove that his brother who wants to usurp his wealth wrongly has put Narayanan in a mental asylum. They win the case and Jayakrishnan marries Radhika. But in the first night itself Jayakrishnan finds that Narayanan is in his bedroom claiming that he is Radhika’s husband. Harikrishnan won the case saying that he was not insane but now he shows signs of insanity. One thing leads to another and Jayakrishnan and Radhika ends up in jail,thanks to the mad ways of Hari! How he has to win the prize money ,forms the rest of the story.

The Tenkasipattanam team does not get ther story correct,as in the second half the film drags on. Still thanks to Jayaram and Mukesh,the film just manages to keep afloat.
